Hello and welcome to my electronic portfolio!

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl.  I spent my childhood years playing "school" in my basement.  My parents bought me used teacher answer books for several different subjects so that I would really feel like a teacher.

As I grew older my desire to teach grew stronger, but this desire didn't stem just from wanting to work with children.  Rather, I have a burning passion to change the world.  In my eyes, teaching is one of the few professions where an individual can have a direct impact on the future of others and the world.  I believe that if I can make life better for at least one student then I have done my job.

I have worked extremely hard to get to where I am today, and I have myself, my parents, and my previous teachers to thank for that.  All of these individuals have taught me to reach for the stars and to dream big.  As a future teacher I want to instill in my students the idea that they can be anything they want to be as long as they work hard to get there.
